About Gordon:

First licensed in 1965 as GM8AKB when at school. Also utilised then school club call, G3USR, for HF. Radio activity subsided in the 1980s as family interests became his over-riding priority. Re-kindled radio interest in early 2000s and now active 40 through 2 metres from the East Midlands. Favourite band in Europe is 6 metres in the summer 'E's season.

Particular interests include IOTA island chasing and an emerging interest in amateur radio journalism. Gordon operated from St Kilda, EU-059 in summer 2006 as well as other Hebridean islands. He plans practice for St Brandon from some Shetland islands early this summer!

Although now retired, Gordon relishes some occasional IT Project Management Consultancy to keep his brain alert.
